Starbucks Coporation - Kona Cloud Forest Events and Volunteers

Kelly Dunn was the director of community awareness at Starbucks, and she was always on the lookout for opportunities to make a positive impact in the world. So when she came across the Kona Cloud Forest on one of her travels, she knew she had found the perfect project to work on.
The Kona Cloud Forest was a stunningly beautiful and biodiverse area in Hawaii, but it was facing numerous threats from deforestation and climate change. Kelly saw an opportunity for Starbucks to step in and help preserve this precious ecosystem.
She put together a proposal for a community awareness program in partnership with the Kona Cloud Forest Foundation, and presented it to the higher-ups at Starbucks. They were immediately on board with the idea, and soon the program was in full swing.
Thanks to Starbucks’ generous funding and resources, the Kona Cloud Forest Foundation was able to launch an extensive reforestation and conservation effort. They planted thousands of native trees, implemented sustainable agricultural practices, and educated the local community about the importance of preserving the cloud forest.
As part of the program, Starbucks also launched a new line of coffee sourced exclusively from the Kona Cloud Forest. The sales from this special blend went directly towards funding the conservation efforts, and it quickly became a hit with customers.
